Your contribution to the energy transition
- Develop an understanding of the relationship between site selection, technical design and project economics in order to be able to develop the best possible projects (optimised at capex or tariff level)
- Using GIS and other tools, assisting in the identification of project sites
- Assisting with landowner negotiations
- Establishment and management of the project budget
- Assisting with plant design tasks including turbine, PV array, road and electrical layouts
- Management of the various project licensing tasks including liaising with the statutory organisations that administer the various approvals and permits necessary
- Assisting with procurement of construction commodities
- Assisting with procurement of key components
- Assisting with investor selection processes
- Assisting in tender submissions
- Assisting with high level financial modelling processes
- Project risk mitigation and reporting
- Recording and reporting of project progress
- Project development support to the C&I Sales, EPC Sales and Hybrid Sales teams; depending on the particular project, such support being varying combinations of the above tasks
- Participation in project and programme reviews when required
- Permit applications
- Invoice processing
- Project scheduling and costs
- Participation within meetings and preparation of meeting minutes
- Maintenance of electronic and hard copy filing system incl. virtual datarooms
- Occasional travel to established and potential project sites across the country
- Provide general administration support to the Project Development team, e.g., summary of documents, investigate/track competitor movements, etc.
- You may also be asked to participate in field trips and renewable energy (RE) related seminars
Your energy is required

Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or Environmental Science is preferable -
Experience in Engineering, GIS or Environmental Science through tertiary education/apprenticeship training will be an advantage

Background knowledge in the field of renewable energy will be preferable, particularly a conceptual understanding of wind and solar energy -
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required, while knowledge and proficiency in GIS Packages such as Google Earth, ArcGIS or similar will be an advantage
- A good team player
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, whilst an additional local language will be an advantage
- Thorough and diligent in your work
- Self-motivated, proactive and reliable
- Able to work under pressure and independently
- Effective and efficient organizational skills
- Able to manage different tasks simultaneously
- Have a keen interest in the renewable energy industry
- High degree of flexibility is essential as overtime may be required during busy periods
- Intercultural understanding and the ability to work within an international work environment are important
