Your contribution to the energy transition

You will be mainly responsible for preparing, tracking, and maintaining project cost and liquidity budgets.
 
You can look forward to the following tasks:
Project Cost Controlling
  • Responsible for cost controlling on PV construction projects in Greece or EMEA (as backup)
  • Review and analysis of actuals vs budgeted costs.
  • Liaise with Project Manager(s) to forecast expected future costs to completion.
  • Liaise with project teams (e.g. Accounting, Purchasing, Construction) to validate project economics and data quality.
  • Prepare weekly project cash flow and liquidity forecast.
Reporting
  • Line reporting to Head of Finance and Functional reporting to the EMEA Lead – EPC Finance.
  • Ensure timely project reporting in terms of all Group reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with Managing Director and Head of Finance to prepare the project’s cash flow forecast, as well as the Business Planning and Forecasting.
  • Liaise with the Accounting Department to prepare and upload timely the IFRS and other reports.
  • Liaise with the Head of all Departments involved to guarantee planning and ensure timely reporting in terms of all Group reporting requirements.
  • Developing Ad hoc reports as required by management.
Process Evaluation
  • As a Project Cost Controller, you will be part of a team which continuously evaluates and improves internal cost control processes.
Statutory/regulatory requirement
  • Ensure compliance with statutory / regulatory requirements, including: Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with Greek GAAP’s and IFRS for Group reporting purposes.
  • Bank approvals for foreign exchange hedging transactions.
  • Project Guarantees / Bonds.
Other 
  • National and international travel may be required in line with business requirements. 
  • In addition to the duties mentioned above, the job holder is required to carry out other duties that are part of the respective area of activity, according to knowledge and abilities.

Your energy is required

You impress us with these qualifications:
  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Financial and Management Engineering. Further relevant studies at a post-graduate level will be considered a plus.
  • IFRS background / ACCA is desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience / at least 3 years in cost controlling. 
  • Working experience within the Construction industry is desired.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Renewable Energy sector will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point) with advanced Excel skills is non-negotiable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and in English.
  • Strong drive & true team spirit.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in matrix organizations, to operate and to navigate in a multinational environment.
