Your contribution to the energy transition

As a SCADA Engineer, you can look forward to the following tasks:
  • Exercise Judgement and take Responsibility for all SCADA requirements of a PV, BESS and Wind power plant.
  • Approving datasheets related to the materials and components selected by subcontractors.
  • Translating the contractual obligations into technical requirements and SCADA design.
  • Compile specifications, scope of works, bill of materials and evaluate standards for SCADA Systems.
  • Provide Technical advisory and support to Project Development, Sales, Project Management, Project Purchasing & Logistics, Engineering, Construction Management, Commissioning, and limited O&M Support.
  • Management of Engineering activities with internal Team, Consultants, Suppliers and Subcontractors to ensure compliant project execution.
  • Ensuring contractual schedule and payment milestones are achieved, including reparation/compilation of design packages, and tracking thereof.
  • Responsible for Complete review of technical drawings such as panel wiring diagrams and Communication architectures.
  • Support the implementation of the SCADA system and associated equipment from kick-off to handover.
  • Drafting of Design reports / System Functional Descriptions.
  • Implement cost saving initiatives as and where possible and applicable.
  • FAT and SAT activities
  • Evaluate and Optimization of SCADA System HMI, Reporting System, Alarm management, Historian, Configuration version control and Disaster recovery Plans.
  • Engineering Problem Solving
  • Ability to work with minimum support

Your energy is required

You impress us with these qualifications:
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualification, BTech or BSc, B Eng or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Automation or SCADA and Plant control in a Renewable Energy context.
  • Technical knowledge on multiple communication protocol not limited to Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP, IEC 60870-50-101/4, OPC-UA, MQTT.
  • Ability to integrate the OT and IT networks in line with Cybersecurity standards like IEC and ISO.
  • Vast experience in the implementation of resilient and redundant network according to industry standard protocols including RSTP, HSR, PRP, MRP, etc. according to IEC and IEEE Norms.
  • 3+ years performing L2/L3 network implementation and configuration.
  • The candidate should have demonstrated the ability to work in matrix organizations and to operate and navigate within an international company.
  • Ability to work independently
The following are advantageous to the position:
  • ECSA Registration as Candidate Engineer/Technologist
  • Experience with SQL and other open-source database management.
  • Experience in the Programming languages such as Java, C, C#, Python.
  • Proficient in Linux Operating Systems.

  • Demonstrated experience with SCADA implementation for solar PV plant design and / or RE Power Plants in the Utility Scale space.
