Your contribution to the energy transition
Main activities of the role will involve providing legal support in the following phases:
- Origination: negotiation of real estate contracts with counterparties
- Permitting: liaising with public authorities and participating to authorization procedures
- Litigation: supporting the Head of legal and compliance in structuring and managing all legal actions related to the projects (particularly, administrative actions), in case, liaising also with external consultants/law firms
- Giving support in public law and administrative law, permitting procedures and administrative processes with focus in the origination, development, and authorization of renewable energy powerplants
- Keeping track of administrative and civil claims related to the renewable energy sector
- Analysing, negotiating and drafting legal notes, contracts, and related documents
- Demonstrating thorough knowledge of the regulatory framework of the renewable energy sector
- Supporting the Head of Legal and Compliance in carrying out, scheduling and prioritizing daily activities
- Liaising with external law professionals (law firms, consultants, notaries and the like)
- Interacting with other teams as the need might be
- In addition to the above, the person could be asked to conduct other legal tasks, supporting the legal department needs
Your energy is required
- 8 to15 years of experience in legal roles, ideally within the renewable energy sector or infrastructure projects
- Professional qualification to practice law
- Master’s degree in law, preferably with a focus on Administrative Law, Environmental Law, or Energy Law
- Proven track record in permitting processes for large-scale photovoltaic or energy infrastructure projects, including interaction with public authorities and regulatory bodies
- In-depth knowledge of national and regional permitting regulations, environmental impact assessments, and land use planning
- Experience in managing legal aspects of project development, including zoning, authorizations, and compliance with environmental and administrative requirements
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships with municipalities, agencies, and external consultants
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (C1 level or higher)
